What is EMDR Therapy?

What Can I Expect During An EMDR Session?

EMDR is an 8 phase approach. Depending on which phase we are in, each session will look a bit differently. You won’t have to worry about that part, I will ensure we are taking the appropriate steps to work towards your goals. You can expect to learn new ways to handle worry, overwhelming feelings and negative thoughts. We will also be working on memories we identify together that have contributed to feeling like the past is still very much present in your everyday life and relationships. You will know EMDR has helped you when you no longer feel like the past is haunting you, anxiety is lowered and in general, you feel more like yourself.
